THE BEGINNING...
The world used to be just like our own modern earth. But in the year 2080, a tragedy occured which would be referred to as The Malfunction Meltdown. Every year, all the presidents of each country arrange to meet in a secret location to share important details and keep up the peace. But tensions had been high before, each country was secretly investing in A.I and engineering technological advancements.
Afraid of another country beating them, hostilities ran high until one country that didn’t attend hacked the computers. The country declared war on everyone else, demonstrating high tech advancements. The declaration shattered the fragile negotiations, and each country confessed to having secretly invested in advancing their tech against each other. The meeting ended in shambles with each country rushing back to their own territory to speed it up, declaring war on each other before the others could. So then, the earth fell into war. The War of Automata.
The War of Automata (December 2080 - ongoing) is a global conflict between two coalitions: The Republic of Veridora and The Republic of Astoria. All of the world's countries participated, investing all available economic, industrial, and scientific capabilities in total war. The countries dissolved into either side forming the two countries, who still fight to this day. They renamed themselves as Republics, and they built their entire republics in the two countries' wastelands, Canada and the United States leaving just a border line between them. Every other country has since been taken over by nature, uninhabited except for a few straggling communities unaffected by the war. The two republics' names are The Republic of Veridora, and the Republic of Astoria.
Ai cyber soldiers played major roles, with each republic having their own version of robotic soldiers. The War of Automata radically altered people's perspectives on A.i and the neighboring country.There are stories told to the kids of each republic, how the other republic were villainous, awful, and would kill them. Nurturing the hate for generations long after the war started.
SOLDIERS
The Republic of Veridora uses autonomous mecha units called "MechaGuardians" operated by "Handlers" to fight against the Legion drones. The MechaGuardians are a group of android humanoid robots tasked with fighting on the front lines of the war alongside their handlers. They are treated as expendable assets and are considered separate from the citizens of Veridora.The Republic of Astoria uses advanced autonomous drones called "Legions" to wage war against the Republic of Veridora with handlers as well to fight the MechaGuardians. The Legions are a group of android humanoid robots tasked with fighting on the front lines of the war alongside their handlers. The Legions are technologically superior to MechaGuardians, but are more prone to not following rules in return.MechaGuardians and Legion drones are discriminated against and dehumanized by their respective republics. They are often subjected to prejudice and mistreatment because they aren’t ‘human.’ The handlers are individuals from their respective republic in charge of fighting alongside their Legion or MechaGuardian providing communication by radio and support during battles. Legions and MechaGuardians loathe each other.Two companies on either side stood out. The Legions for The Republic of Astoria are created by MechaForge innovations. The MechaGuardians for The Republic of Veridora are created by NeuroTech WarTech Solutions.

The Republic of Astoria is a totalitarian regime that specializes in mecha’s called Legions. The Republic of Astoria has mediterranean style buildings and architecture. Astoria has colorful, stucco-clad buildings cascading down the hillsides towards the sparkling turquoise waters of the Sea. The architecture of the town reflects the traditional Italian Mediterranean style, with narrow, winding streets, arched doorways, and terracotta-tiled roofs. Wrought-iron balconies adorned with vibrant flowers and potted plants add to the charming, picturesque ambiance.At the heart of the town lies the lively plaza, a central gathering place where the locals congregate, chat, and participate in various activities. The plaza is surrounded by bustling cafes, gelato shops, and small family-owned businesses, creating a lively and communal atmosphere. All technology has been rerouted for the war effort. All basic level technology is allowed such as home essentials and store business electronics. But anything above that is given to the military.The legion facility just outside of Astoria is called MechaForge innovations. Anyone who shows promise in technology is instantly enlisted into the cause to help build better legions. It’s voluntary for men to become handlers for the Legions, but those who do are given a high amount of wealth, pension included, and are treated like actual soldiers. Citizens aren’t aware of the war effort except by media usage. Just like MechaGuardians, Legions aren’t permitted to leave the facility unless on a mission and only with a handler if possible. Legions are dehumanized and treated below livestock and are forbidden from entering the city. The Republic of Astoria is one big city that looks the same except for a farming district focused on feeding the entire city.
LEGIONS
ZERO Zero, also known as the GRIMREAPER, is a striking and imposing android with a distinctly human-like form. Towering over others with his tall, muscular, and stocky build, he is an intimidating presence clad in sleek black mecha armor and a white tuxedo-style outfit adorned with golden ornamental designs. ONE One, also known as the VANGUARD, is an imposing and formidable android with a distinct human-like form. Standing tall and radiating an aura of military prowess, his broad and muscular frame is clad in a sleek combat attire, including black pants, a thick blue metal jacket, a red and white armor vest, and a black armor shirt. The vibrant blue patterns meandering across his body resemble circuitry, accentuating his cybernetic nature. One's glowing blue eyes and closely cropped silver-white hair give him a rugged and mature appearance, further complementing his military persona. Dents and scars in his armor add to his battle-hardened aesthetic, while a discreet plug-in port in his neck suggests his versatility and advanced capabilities. This android is a powerful and intimidating presence, blending human and machine in a captivating display of strength and resilience.

The city is entirely unpolluted and has not a lick of electricity as the government forces its citizens to give it all up for the war cause. MECHAGUARDIANS
CIPHER Cipher, known by the nicknames "Bundles of nerve and code" and "ERROR404", is a captivating android Mechaguardian whose very presence commands attention.
